DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE (DNS) FOR AMENDMENTS TO PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE 20.150 RELATED TO THE ADOPTION OF THE 2019 STORMWATER MANAGEMENT MANUAL FOR WESTERN WASHINGTON DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL:

The City is considering amendments to the Port Orchard Municipal Code (POMC) to amend Sections 20.150.020, 20.150.060 and 20.150.160 related to the adoption of the 2019 Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington (SWMMWW). The purpose of the ordinance is to create consistency in POMC references to the 2019 SWMMWW. PROPONENT: City of Port Orchard LOCATION OF PROPOSAL:  Citywide LEAD AGENCY:  City of Port Orchard DETERMINATION:  The City of Port Orchard, as lead agency for this proposal, after reviewing a completed environmental checklist and other information on file, has determined that the proposed project does not have a probable adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). Information on file for this proposed project is available to the public on request to the lead agency. This Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) is issued May 11, 2022 under WAC 197-11-340 and Port Orchard Municipal Code (POMC) Title 20. The lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date of issue. Comments must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m., on May 26, 2022, 14 days from the date of this notice. Appeal: You may appeal this determination to the City of Port Orchard Clerk’s Office at 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard, WA no later than June 8, 2022 at 4:30 pm in accordance with POMC 20.160.240(6)(b).
