The City of Port Orchard has received a Conditional Use Permit request for the following project that may be of interest to you. You are invited to comment on this proposal prior to the close of the record on April 24, 2018.

Public Hearing: April 24, 2018 at 10:00am in the Robert Geiger City Council Chambers located at 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard.

Project Description: Conditional Use Permit to allow an 86,301 square foot self-storage facility on two tax parcels (4.71 acres). A previous Conditional Use Permit was issued for this project in 2016 for a 77,800 square foot facility on one tax parcel (4.3 acres). This project is requested to expand upon the previous project.

Project Location: Parcel 4625-000-005-0507 and 4625-000-005-0606; 1590 SE Lundberg Rd, Port Orchard

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: A SEPA Determination of Nonsignificance was issued for the project on April 22, 2016. The proposed revisions to the project do not constitute a substantial revision to the project, therefore an addendum to the original SEPA DNS was issued on March 23, 2018. The comment deadline was April 6, 2018, and no comments were received.

Required Permits: The following local, state, and federal permits/approvals are needed for the proposed project:

  1. Site Development Activity Permit (partial LDAP issued under previous application)
  2. Building Construction Permits (construction permits for some buildings already issued)
  3. National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit
