This is a public notice of a development proposal that may interest you. You have the right to comment on this application, receive notice, request a copy of the decision once made and appeal the project decision. Please be aware there are deadlines for comments and appeal; if you do not adhere to these deadlines, your comments may not be considered and/or you may lose your right of appeal. Please read this notice carefully and call the City of Port Orchard Department of Community Development (DCD) if you have questions. Date of Issuance: April 11, 2025. File Number: LU25-PLAT PRELIM-01. Project Name: McCormick Woods Planning Area M Preliminary Plat. Type of Application: Preliminary Subdivision (Type III). Parcel #s 092301-4-002-2009, 162301-1-020-2004, 162301-1-021-2003. Applicant: Greg Krabbe, McCormick Communities LLC, 805 Kirkland Ave, Suite 200, Kirkland, WA 98033. Date of Application: February 28, 2025. Date Application was Determined Technically Complete: March 28, 2025. Site Description: SE Corner of the McCormick Woods development, South of McCormick Woods Drive SW. Project Description: Preliminary subdivision of 66.08 acres into 173 lots for future single family residential development. The SEPA official for the City of Port Orchard has not issued a SEPA determination for the project at this time. Existing Studies and Environmental Documents Evaluating the Proposal: Geotechnical Report, Landscape Plan, Tree Preservation and Replacement Plan, Wetland & Fish and Wildlife Habitat Assessment, Preliminary Storm Drainage Report, and SEPA checklist. Any interested person may comment on this application. The comment period will remain open for 14 days. The deadline to submit comments is April 25, 2025 at 4:30pm. The application file may be examined at DCD, 720 Prospect Street, Port Orchard, WA 98366, by appointment between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM, Monday through Friday, except holidays. To schedule an appointment please call 360.874.5533 and indicate the Permit Number and Project Name for the file you would like to examine. A Type III permit is a decision of the Hearing Examiner. After an open record hearing, the Hearing Examiner will issue a decision within 14 days of the close of the record.
