Notice of Hearing – Marina Pump Station

This is a public notice that the City of Port Orchard will conduct a public hearing before the City’s Hearing Examiner on November 30, 2022 at 9:00 AM on the following project: City of Port Orchard Marina Pump Station Project;  File Number: LU22-SH SDP-02; Application Type: Shoreline Substantial Development (Type III). Applicant: K. Chris Hammer, City Engineer, City of Port Orchard, 216 Prospect St, Port Orchard, WA 98366. Date of Counter Complete Application: August 31, 2022; Date of Technically Complete Application: September 28, 2022. Location: 721 Sidney Parkway, Port Orchard, WA 98366 (APN 262401-1-007-2008). Description of Proposal:

Repairs and improvements to the existing Marina Pump Station facility, to include demolition and replacement of the existing above-grade bathroom and entrance to the below-grade pump station with a proposed above-grade multi-use facility housing odor control, electrical equipment, a bathroom, and a diesel-engine driven emergency pump. The existing control building will be brought to grade for use as a viewing or picnic area and approximately 0.11 acre of existing impervious parking lot will be converted to lawn and driveway. SEPA Threshold Determination: The City of Port Orchard issued a Determination of Non-Significance for the proposal on October 28, 2022, consistent with WAC 197-11-340. Required Permits: The following local, state, and federal permits/approvals are needed for the proposed project: Land Disturbing Activity Permit, Storm Drainage Permit, and Building Permits. Applicable Code(s): Port Orchard Municipal Code Title 20, WAC 197-11 SEPA Rules. THIS PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD UTILIZING REMOTE MEETING TECHNOLOGY ON/AT:  November 30, 2022 at 9:00 AM.
