Old Clifton Intertie

Currently a portion of the City of Port Orchards water system, the McCormick Woods HGL 580, is isolated from the remainder of the system.    The City’s population in the McCormick Communities is experiencing rapid growth that is outpacing supply from sources in that area.   The City of Port Orchard has a short term arrangement to purchase water from an adjacent system owned and operated by the City of Bremerton.    Bremerton is also experiencing growth and in the near future will be unable to supply water, except in emergencies.   The City of Port Orchard has additional sources available in the balance of its water system.    An water main intertie and booster pump is proposed to allow water to be moved between the areas of the City of Port Orchards water system that are currently isolated.
