We are very excited to announce that pedestrian improvements along Sidney Rd are underway. The City of Port Orchard received a $1,400,000 grant from State of Washington for ‘Safe Routes to School’ improvements on Sidney Rd near Sidney Glen Elementary. The first phase of the pedestrian improvements was completed last year near Cedar Heights Middle School. The new project will include frontage improvements new sidewalks, improved crossings, planter strips, & bike lanes. This project makes the pedestrian experience along this entire corridor safer and more enjoyable for students, families and residents. Thank you for your patience while this important work is underway!
