Press Release
We Need Your Input! Help us picture transportation within downtown Port Orchard!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 21, 2023
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — The City of Port Orchard is conducting the Bay Street Pedestrian Pathway West Study. Through this study, the city will create a long-term vision to improve accessibility and encourage active transportation within downtown Port Orchard. The project team will study:
- A new active transportation pathway along the Port Orchard Waterfront west of the foot ferry terminal to Port Orchard Blvd
- A complete street treatment for Port Orchard Blvd from Bay Street to Tremont Street to encourage active transportation usage
With your input, we’ll develop solutions that align with community priorities and create opportunities for safer connections. There are multiple ways you can participate. Please submit all feedback by Friday, Oct. 6, via the below methods:
- Interactive Map: Learn more about the current suite of design alternatives and share your input about specific locations using our interactive mapping tool.
- Take Our Survey: We want to hear your needs, experiences, and vision for potential future connections between the Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry Terminal and Tremont Street. Take our survey to share your input!
