Old Clifton and Anderson Road Intersection Project

Background

Old Clifton Road is a critical transportation corridor in the City of Port Orchard. It is a major collector that connects to State Route 16 and Tremont Street.  The City’s Comprehensive Plan has identified the need for intersection capacity improvements along the corridor.   A new round about was opened to traffic at McCormick Village Drive in 2023.  Additional roundabouts are planned at McCormick Woods Drive and Anderson Hill Road.

Project Information

Improvements to the intersection of Old Clifton Road and Anderson Hill Road are planned as early as 2027.    The City completed a 60 percent design for a one lane round about in 2018.    Additional funding from developer contributions is now available and is being programed by Council in the 2025 budget.   Final design is planned to resume in the first quarter of 2025.
