Pottery Non-motorized Improvements

The City of Port Orchard proposes to address gaps in sidewalks and bike lanes on Pottery Road from Sunset Lane to Barry Lake Road. The intent is to provide complete facilities for bicyclists and pedestrians. The project will also include safety enhancements including street lighting and crosswalk improvements. The City received a State Complete Streets grant award for this project.

Construction is scheduled to begin April 22nd on the City’s Pottery Ave Non-Motorized Improvements project. The first phase of work is anticipated to occur between SW Berry Lake Rd and approximately 300’ south of the southern Cedar Heights Middle School driveway entrance. The southbound lane of Pottery Ave will be closed. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone. Please drive slowly and obey posted signs during construction.

PSE will be performing utility pole relocations along Pottery Ave near Sunset Lane and approximately 200’ north of the Lippert Dr intersection. Work is anticipated to occur between April 23rd and April 30th. Please direct inquiries to Puget Sound Energy regarding this portion of the work.

Updated information will be provided throughout the duration of the project.
