Givens Park Groundbreaking Ceremony
You are invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the Givens Park renovation project at 11:30am on May 5th, 2025. The existing basketball and tennis courts will receive major upgrades and repairs include new fencing & lighting, new goals/hoops, court surfacing, and hillside seating. Additionally, the courts will be reconfigured to accommodate not only basketball and tennis but also pickleball and futsal.
The city received a grant from the Recreation and Conservation Office for the project and was supported locally by the Port Orchard Rotary Club, who generously contributed over $50K to the project.
The Givens Park upgrade is set to be completed Summer 2025.
‘I’m so pleased to be able to provide this beloved city park with much needed upgrades and repairs that will serve our community for years to come.’ ~ Port Orchard Mayor Rob Putaansuu
